Bill Foreman
RYT 200 Yoga Teacher
- Tell us, when did mind-body first bend you to it's will? …..A co-worker would not shut-up about “Hatha yoga” You gotta try it, you gotta try it….blah blah blah……to create silence in the workplace, I took a class. How relieving to know I could revive myself without the ego –based environment and equipment I had tried to make work. That connection to my higherself was definite and absolute…
- Besides your obvious coolness, what makes you qualified to teach? I started teaching by default. As normal in the yoga world, a teacher scheduled to teach did not show; I was asked to lead the class. Once I sensed the collective consciousness and trust to move into asana, I wanted to be a facilitator to another’s health. The internal thinking and movements I have learned in practice for myself I share out loud with students hoping the connection can happen for each student. Does passion and dedication count as qualified?
- What other things are you qualified to do? Aside from keeping my biology in health to shine, I am a licensed/certified Realtor. I belong to an ancient fraternity and work in the community (silently). Qualified to argue with the best on almost any subject, try me;)
- What can we expect to see, hear and do in your classes? “The most exercise people get is jumping to conclusions.”…I love that quote. Using that as my premise to practice, You will not have an agenda to conform to. You will re-learn how to stand on your own 2 feet, literally. I believe strongly in foundation and intellect while you practice. As a part of the 8 limbs of Yoga, personal etiquette and composure are necessary, to enjoy and be successful in yoga. Looking cool in a posture DOES NOT mean you can do the posture. Understand where you are. You will hear concise direction with no expectation to be perfect….I am not a personal trainer nor will I guide as such. I will always support and encourage your determination and desire to be healthier and a brighter Light.
- What pose/move do you dig the most and why? Standing Bow (Digasana) and Camel (Ustrasana). To activate every muscle group and incorporate the breath, finding the muhla-bonda (lock) and holding the posture until you shake, is AHHHHH, nice.
- If you could push a button and remove a pose/move from history, which one and why? Happy Cow Face (Gomukhasana). I still don’t see why the cow is happy? I asked them, they ain’t talkin’….
- Like, what's your sign man? I am an extreme Gemini ….
- What are 3 things that make you smile real big and cheesy? A baby’s laugh, the calm of the morning (before we disturb it) and watching someone discover their Light.
- What is your favorite quote when you're in need of a little inspiration? “Tell me …and I forget. Teach me and I learn. Involve me, and I remember.” – Ben Franklin
- If you could do anything to change the world, what would it be? I would like to change the paradigm we exist to a: “win-win”. I am SOOOOO tired of the: win-lose paradigm”. I will put in an extra quarter ride longer as a win-win.
- Any other interesting information you would like to share with the nice people reading this here Bio? If you have been curious about what yoga truly consists of, come to the Blue Anjou. You have a safe place to LEARN. The intention must pure for what you desire to see…..yourself.
